One Delivery, End to End: From Carrier Booking to Departure Clearance
It is easy to show a yard-management screen. It is much harder to show what actually happens to a single delivery from the moment a haulier books it to the moment it clears your gate on the way out — because that journey crosses four different sets of hands, and most systems only cover one or two of them.
So we filmed the whole thing. One truck. No cuts to a slide deck, no mock-ups — the real product, running a real booking end to end.
It starts on the carrier’s side, not yours
The first thing worth noticing is whose screen the video opens on. It is not yours — it is the haulier’s. Atlas Freight signs in to their own portal, with their own account, and sees their own performance: on-time rate, no-show rate, average turnaround. The same numbers you judge them on, visible to them too.
That transparency is the point. When a carrier can see their own scorecard, the conversation about performance stops being a monthly argument over whose spreadsheet is right.
They can also open any delivery they have already run for you and see the whole visit reconstructed — booked, arrived, checked in, on the dock, unloaded, released — with a full audit trail underneath it. Nothing to chase, nothing to phone about.
Booking is self-service, and the rules are already baked in
When the carrier books the next load, they do not get a blank calendar. They pick a site, a date, a load type and a material — and the platform offers only the slots that genuinely work: the right dock type, the right temperature class, the right capacity for the hour.
Then they tell you about the load itself: truck and trailer, reefer setpoint, pallet count, weight, purchase order, the seal number the trailer will arrive with, who the goods are coming from, and exactly what they are. Your GDP attestations have to be ticked before the booking will save.
The hand-off to your team is one click
Switch sides and you are looking at the same day from the warehouse operations manager’s chair: every dock, every hour, the whole plan. The carrier’s request is sitting there waiting on a decision. Filter the board to everything still pending, and there it is — confirm, and it is done. No email thread, no phone call, no re-keying.
The gate becomes a checklist, not an interrogation
On arrival day the gate already has the full picture — carrier, load, dock, expected seal, cold-chain range. The operator just works a list:
- Seal check — photograph the trailer seal; the number is read off the photo and matched against the booking, with the image kept as evidence.
- Cold chain — the logger display is photographed and the temperature confirmed in range before the truck is allowed on site.
- Weighbridge — gross weight in, recorded against the booking automatically.
Only when the checklist is complete does the barrier lift — and the driver gets an unambiguous instruction: proceed to your dock, follow this route.
The yard stops being a blind spot
This is the part people tend to lean forward for. The truck appears on a live map of your yard and drives it: in through the gate, onto the weighbridge, along the lane, onto the dock. Every other vehicle on that map is real too — docked, staged, waiting. Click any one of them and it tells you whose it is, who the supplier is, what is on board and which driver has it.
Nothing on that screen was typed in by anybody. It is a by-product of the gate and warehouse simply doing their jobs.
Unloading is measured, not estimated
At the dock the seal is re-checked against what the gate recorded, the trailer temperature is confirmed, and a clock starts against a target. Pallets are scanned as they come off and the cold chain is logged live against the booking. When the last pallet is down, close-out is one tap — and the goods receipt is ready to write.
Departure is a controlled, signed event
The truck is weighed out, so the delivered quantity is proven by two weighings rather than a docket. The outbound seal is photographed. Then the driver signs on glass under 21 CFR Part 11 — two credentials, and a SHA-256 hash chained into the audit trail. Only then is the departure cleared and the dock released.
And then the data does the rest
Every step in that journey was a timestamp. Which means the reporting builds itself — average turnaround, on-time arrivals, gate-to-dock wait, dock utilisation, document compliance — and it goes carrier by carrier, with each haulier measured against the commitments you actually agreed with them and flagged red, amber or green automatically.
That is the real argument for doing the whole journey on one platform rather than three. Not that any single screen is magic, but that a connected journey produces a clean dataset — and a clean dataset is what lets you run the yard on numbers instead of memory.
